Well hello there!
I never thought I would be making a blog post, on a website for a "business" my family and I dreamed up, and yet here we are. Honestly I am not sure how to describe how I feel. But it is a solid combination of nervousness, excitement, confusion, and peace.
I am nervous about all of the unknown that goes along with something like this. How do I sift through the legal stuff? How do I run a small business? Is this a waste of time? Is this even worth it?
I am excited about where we are at and how we have grown. We have found a way to supplement our income doing things we already enjoy doing as a family. And it is an added bonus that it is something I am passionate about.
I am confused because being in the "spotlight" and putting myself and my family "out there" is not my M.O. I prefer to stay lowkey and hide in the background. But I also feel like we are doing something God wants us to do.
And that is why I feel peace. I feel peace because I believe we are doing something God wants us to do and I have 100% faith in Him. There is something peaceful about this current moment as I type. A fire flickering away in our woodstove, the low hum of the blower motor circulating the warm air, the giggles of our girls as they lay in bed trying to sleep, and the feeling of exhaustion from a life that we have prayed and worked for.
So welcome to our humble little website. Welcome to our family. Welcome to the window that invites you to look and see who we are, what we do, and what we are about. Are we perfect? NOPE! Are we figuring this out as we go? Most certainly. So I ask that you be patient with us, please provide constructive feedback, and help us as we seek to grow and serve others.
